Sunday playtime

It was a truly special Sunday for the children at Freedom Foundation Trust. The Northern Lights Mahjong group hosted a heart-warming Christmas lunch, complete with an array of delicious treats. There were home-baked goodies, juicy KFC burgers with all the fixings, festive Christmas cookies a la Claudine, and of course, Rita’s much-loved chocolate cake.

The children were absolutely delighted. With their brightest smiles on display, they treated us to lively dances, cheerful songs, and beautiful artwork that filled the room with energy and happiness.

When lunchtime arrived, the room fell into a happy silence as everyone focused on enjoying every bite. It was one of those rare, perfect moments—simple, joyful, and deeply memorable for both the children and us.

The beautifully wrapped Christmas gifts were the perfect finishing touch. The children waited patiently, excitement bubbling over, trying their very best not to peek. It truly felt like the magic of Christmas was alive in that room—filled with love, laughter, and togetherness.
