Ongoing support for various charities throughout October.
Spreading comfort and care
In September, the Queens of Tiles, Conçu Mahjong and Mahjong Memsahibs provided 9 comfortable mattresses to those who needed it the most. Thank you for providing healing and a restful night to HIV+ orphans and the elderly at Accept Society.

Northern Lights continue looking after the needs of Freedom Foundation, Toscano Tuesday Mahjong group looked after the needs of APD and Whitefield Mahjong added their collection to the amount collected at the Diwali tournament to facilitate hearing moulds for the children of SKID

Many needs fulfilled in August!
We proudly supported four charities this month:
Northern Lights looked after the needs of Freedom Foundation, Tiles 'Galore supported the Association of People with Disability, Whitefield Mahjong did the same for proVISION ASIA, and The Queens of Tiles, Mahjong Memsahibs, and Conçu Mahjong provided floor mats for Ashraya's safe play environment.

Every tile you play in Mahjong helps build brighter futures and goes directly to support charities.
Expanding our outreach to help all ages
In July, we contributed towards Melania's GNM nursing course at St. Martha's Hospital and Nursing College. We're thrilled to support this dedicated and hardworking eldest daughter of a school maid mother and a father dealing with diabetes and heart issues.

Our monthly donations of food essentials for the Freedom Foundation continue, and we're excited to adopt the Association of People with Disability (APD) as a new beneficiary.

Caring nourishment for the underprivileged
In June, we donated 45 nutrition kits for pre/post natal and elderly women living in the slums of Bangalore.
Your time, enthusiasm, and generosity have helped us raise vital funds for Jagruthi. Every game you play brings real support to those who need it most.

We also continued contributing supplies for Freedom Foundation.
Supporting Learning and Wellness
In MAY, we supported education and nourishment by donating funds for two children's school fees, uniforms, books, and lunch at St. Alphonsus Academy.
We also sponsored a teacher's salary for a month at the Dominican Sisters School and contributed to nutritious food supplies at Freedom Foundation

Empowering people with disabilities
In April, we supported two charities! We proudly provided proVISION ASIA with two wheelchairs, helping to empower individuals with disabilities and enhance their mobility.
Additionally, we continue our partnership with FREEDOM FOUNDATION by supplying a month’s worth of food and essential items.
Championing CHILDCARE and FREEDOM FOUNDATION
We provided essential stationery to Childcare, a school serving 400 underprivileged children, to enhance their educational experience.
Furthermore, we supplied an additional month of food resources to Freedom Foundation.

Creating a safer and more welcoming environment
A large portion of funds raised were used to replace some of the window glass at Asha Niketan's Koramangala home, ensuring a safer and more welcoming environment for the men and women with intellectual disabilities in their care.
Additionally, we continue to support another month of food supplies for Freedom, a residential unit for HIV infected/orphaned children as well as providing educational, health care and counselling support to approx. 300 adults and children.
Making a meaningful difference
Deena Seva Charitable Trust runs 4 charitable homes , caring for around 75 children and 57 women with HIV. It also runs a Samanthwana Hospice for the terminally ill.

The Mahjong for Charity group has donated two bookshelves which help create an organised and accessible space for students to engage with books and learning materials, fostering a love of reading and supporting their academic growth.

We also continue providing a small food donation to the Freedom Foundation Trust

Putting smiles on the menu this holiday season
This December, the Mahjong Group gave the gift of happiness to all 15 ICB charities.
We provided for a holiday celebration at each of their organisations so the holiday season is special for all.

Providing students with the resources they need to succeed
Sheila Kothavala Institute for the Deaf (SKID) is a free English-medium educational institute for hearing-impaired children, mainly from financially disadvantaged families.
Our contributions from playing mahjong will enable us to donate a colour photocopier scanner and printer, supporting their efforts to provide accessible learning materials and enhance communication for all students.

We will also continue providing a small food donation to the Freedom Foundation Trust

Supporting efforts to assist the underprivileged
ACCEPT operates a care home dedicated to supporting individuals with HIV/AIDS, orphans, and the elderly, providing both long-term and short-term care tailored to individual needs. They received a donation for curtains to create private spaces, ensuring residents enjoy the dignity and comfort they deserve in their living environment.
THE FREEDOM FOUNDATION TRUST received a food donation, ensuring that everyone at their center has access to nutritious meals.
Enhancing care and comfort for a community
Based in Koramangala, Asha Niketan provides care for men and women with intellectual disabilities.

We will continue collecting funds through September to help support their great cause by donating 10 mattresses to this residential facility.

Helping create a collaborative space for learning
We are raising funds to donate 14 computer and library tables to support 556 underprivileged children from kindergarten to 10th grade at the free Divine Mercy School.
The school provides after-school tuition for children in local slums, quarries, and villages.
Every child deserves to be fed
Based in Indiranagar, Ashraya is an amazing organisation that runs 3 crèches for 120 underprivileged children.
We will be donating food. Providing nutritious meals ensures that these young ones have the energy and focus needed for learning and play, fostering a positive environment where they can thrive.

June
Changing the pattern of young lives

As some of us head off for our Summer break, construction and domestic worker’s children from the slums around Indranagar are heading back to school at the Dominican Sisters of Presentation crèche. Funds raised have been used to donate 200 school bags and materials to ensure they are prepared and excited for the new school year ahead. We did not have the full funds just yet but we wanted to make sure all children were set up for success so we will build the funds up over the coming weeks
A big thank you to players who attended our mahjong sessions around Bangalore and to everyone who donated and added to the funds we have raised so far.
